New Training Funding Suitable for Tour Guides in Queensland.

This program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to complete their first post school qualification.  Although a Cert III Guiding was not on the funding list despite  being recognised as a skills shortage for Qld, there is a Cert III Tourism, which can be adapted using the guiding units as electives.

This is a great opportunity for guides residing in Queensland to gain a National formal qualification without the usual high costs. Although CTIA is Gold Coast based, training will be available to all throughout Queensland, with a trainer visiting each region to carry out the assessments done through observation.
